Transcript

big mistake that I used to make with dancer that you might be making too is doing this pulling my leg up with my arm and not engaging the lifted leg so try this instead instead of using your arm to lift your leg use the strength in your leg so press your foot into your hand so that you feel the glutes and the hamstrings engage as the leg lifts the glutes and the hamstrings by the way are also part of your spinal extensor group so they actually help you to come into a back bend so by engaging these two muscle groups you actually help yourself coming to a stronger more stable dancer
