similar to a sound of distant ocean or sleeping snoring baby in oj inhalations and exhalations are done through both nostrils along with contraction of throat muscles called glotus don't confuse it with epiglottis glottis opens into the windpipe and it is responsible for the production of sound while epiglottis is a cartilaginous flap on the top of glottis that prevents the food from entering
