Ujjayi breath is a yogic breathing technique that helps us regulate and slow down our breathing rate. This pranayama – often referred to as Ocean Breath – aids in calming down the body and mind, and helps us stay focused on the practice. In this video I explain the benefits of Ujjayi breath and teach you how to practice this ‘victorious’ breathing technique. If you’re new to Ujjayi breathing, follow the 3 steps of how to start practicing and just give it time. You can use it as part of your asana practice or by itself. This video is for everyone and anyone who’s interested in pranayama and breathing, and would like to learn a new breathing technique. You don’t need any experience in yoga to start learning this!
