In this practice we work with increasing our capacity to retain prana. Together we slowly build the inhalation to bring prana (life-force energy) into the ribs/chest to AWAKEN and ENLIVEN. We move intentionally, with stability being the foundation, to bring our energy back into our hearts and to remember that we are already WHOLE. Everything we need is already within us. The breath ratio in this practice is 2:1. Slower and longer inhales, shorter exhales… but performed with the same capacity. Feel more and more freedom with each breath, experiencing space and expansion within the boundary of our vessel. We will complete the practice with a meditation focused on the expansion of the heart. Listen to your body first and foremost. If something feels painful or intuitively not right, please ease off and listen to those signs. Pause and take breaks as often as you need.
