When you do this practice, it’s deeply internalizing, meditating, and also calms your mind and body and this is the only pranayama breathing technique that you can do while you are moving your posture or while doing your yoga practices. This breathing exercise can also be used to some extent as a healing practice. It has a profoundly relaxing effect at the psychic level.

Ujjayi is classified as tranquilizing pranayama and it also has a healing effect on the body. This practice soothes the nervous system and calms the mind.
