foreign [Music] there is an increase in the number of people who suffer from hormonal imbalances and we have our lifestyle to blame yoga a consistent practice can definitely help you with your hormonal imbalance but delving deeper into yoga following the yamas and niyamas with respect to your nutrition your sleep your rest and also your stress can help you even more so if you ask me I cannot give you one or two postures that will immediately solve your hormonal issues but developing a holistic balanced yoga practice and keeping it consistent is what is going to help you let's get started with today's practice we're going to start today's practice in vajrasana so if you need a little bit of support for your knees and your hips you can go ahead and slide a cushion so in your yoga practice the postures either they kind of compress and stimulate the glands or you really stretch open out and relax so here we're going to start off by keeping the spine nice and tall and drop the chin over all the way down to the collarbone first establishing a nice strong ujjay breathing inhale exhale from the back of the throat [Music] once you settled into the ujjay breathing you're going to move forward and come on to all fours stay with your ujjay breath throughout your practice inhale look forward arch your back stretch and open up the throat exhale draw the belly in round your back two more inhale lift the chest up Arch back relax the shoulders exhale draw the belly in round your back one more inhale lift the chest up Arch take a breath or two there exhale draw the belly in so your navel is going in chin is also tucked into the collarbone hold it there for a second inhale neutral spine from here you walk your palms forward okay without moving the hips forward just get your chest down chin down to the mat stay here three two if this is too intense for you just the four head down will do and one walk the Palms back slowly coming back to tabletop tuck your toes exhale go into a bent knee downward dog really squeezing your navel in dropping the chin down towards the throat inhale move forward to plank exhale knees chest chin down inhale head up chest up bujunga tuck the toes exhale downward dog inhale plank exhale knees chest chin down inhale head up chest up tuck the toes exhale downward dog inhale plant last time exhale knees chest inhale head up chest up exhale downward dog pedal your feet two to three times on each side and then you come into a comfortable downward facing dog from here inhale step the right foot forward between your palms bring the left knee forward a bit and you're going to place the foot on the floor you can use a block here if need be you're going to open up your chest into three corn Asana lift your left arm up hold it here keep moving the hip forward chest beautifully open exhale both hands down take an inhale here exhale into press the Palms down bend the knee come on to the toes again press the Palms exhale back to downward facing dog this time try and release the heels into the floor same thing on the other side inhale left foot forward place the right heel fully down maybe even bring It Forward a bit bring your left hand onto your ankle or the floor and you're going to straighten the leg and open the chest moving into trikonasana [Music] exhale bring your hands down drop the head down towards your thigh hold it here bend your left knee come on to the right toes exhale go back to downward dog from downward dog you're going to bend your knees look forward exhale either step or jump forward to the top of the mat lengthen your spine exhale you can choose to keep the knees bent fold forward or straight in the legs exhale once again step the right foot back look forward left foot back to plank this time Knees Down exhale go all the way down to the floor forehead down on the mat Palms on either side of the chest inhale lift your head up chest up exhale go back down press the top of the feet in this time head up chest up legs up inhale lift up exhale down inhale head up chest up legs up lift your palms also off hold three two one exhale go all the way down place your hands exhale back into balasana wide legs and your head down to the floor three two and one slowly you're going to roll up sit to one side and stretch both your legs forward we're going to practice so you're going to come into a half low disposition okay you can use a cushion underneath the knee for support and place your heel close to the opposite hip okay inhale here spine tall exhale you try and fold forward reach for the foot you feel the heel pressing into your belly hold it there for a second [Music] interlock the fingers inhale and come up exhale bring your arms down to the other side release the right leg bend the left knee heel towards your hip use a cushion if you need support Flex the right foot inhale exhale fold forward interlock the fingers inhale up exhale bring your arms down stretching both legs out very very important posture matanasana inhale exhale folding forward feel that compression in the belly and in your throat interlock the fingers inhale come up take your knees fully to the floor head to the left press the shoulder blade down if the knees don't touch it's okay it can be halfway up release the lower back inhale back to Center feet down arms down we're going to practice shoulder stand if you're not used to practicing sarvangasana or shoulder stand free on the mat go ahead go close to the wall put your legs up on the wall and you can use the wall for support to lift your hips up if you're comfortable on the mat you're just going to go ahead straighten the legs out first as you exhale legs up in one straight line hips go up and you support the lower back bring your elbows in together walk your palms a little lower and lift the legs as high as you can exhale to halasana [Music] release your hands and slowly vertebra by vertebra you roll down now we're going to bring the legs all the way down and counter this posture so tuck your arms underneath your back completely stretch the legs forward flex the feet exhale lift your head up inhale roll the chest head back top of the head on the mat gaze can be either at the tip of the nose or straight ahead of you breathe [Music] next exhale lift the head up inhale settle down one more time you bend your knees hug the knees into the chest Rock side to side [Music] just give a gentle massage to your back and then you slowly settle down into shavasana so that was your Asana practice it is a balanced practice covering all movements of the spine for hormonal issues so complementing this practice with appropriate pranayama practices and kriyas like kapalabhati Nadi shodhana sheetali and shitkari will really make the practice more holistic and what will make it even better is adding some mindfulness and simple meditation techniques so I really hope you enjoyed this video do practices
