today janine and i are going to show you how to do the reclined butterfly pose this is a staple of many yoga classes and it's a great hip and thigh opener so you want to start lying on the floor knees bent feet flat arms by your sides now keeping your the soles of your feet together you want to open your legs like a butterfly or a book and again keep those soles together and try to get your knees as close to the floor as you can now hold the stretch for five to ten breaths and then you can return to the starting position and that's how you do the reclined butterfly
