Instructions

Triangle Pose is excellent for strengthening the hips and chest, opening the heart and lungs, and stretching the spine, neck, and shoulders. It is a great grounding posture that builds incredible awareness of your body. No wonder it's often called the Master Pose of the standing series.

馃敽Begin standing with your arms at the side. 馃敽 Inhale, lift your arms overhead. 馃敽 Exhale, step your right foot to the side 2-3 feet. Bring your arms parallel to the mat. 馃敽 Push your hips forward and engage your core. 馃敽 Turn your right foot out and bend the right knee 90 degrees, bringing the knee directly over the ankle. 馃敽 Extend your left arm up and bring the right arm down as you fold toward your right foot. Right elbow comes to meet the right knee. 馃敽 Bring your chin to your left shoulder, gaze goes up.

Move your arms first, then straighten your legs and turn your toes forward to exit the posture.

Repeat on the left side.
