hey yogi welcome back to your mat i'm kendall this is yoga strong where form meets fitness and today we're going to break down revolved crescent lunge pose with the proper form and technique this is a very powerful and strengthening posture it helps us find mobility through our spine it strengthens and engages our core as well as our legs and it's just an all-around awesome toning strengthening and lengthening posture so when you're ready to break it down meet me on your mats and we'll get [Music] started okay so we'll find our revolved crosstalk lunge from crescent lunge so i'll demo on the left side so here you can see my left knee is stacked over my ankle i'm pressing firmly into the ball mount of my back foot my hips are square my tailbone is down arms lift up overhead now maintain the placement of your feet in this posture so we're really only moving our upper body here bring your palms to heart center hinge forward at your hips and revolve and twist through your torso hooking your right elbow outside of your left knee and leveraging that connection between your elbow and your knee to spiral your torso up towards the sky continue to press firmly through your back foot your back legs really engaged here and your front knee remains stacked over your ankle with every inhale find length through your spine with every exhale deep in your twist option to gaze back over your left shoulder keep your palms close to heart center and keep your ribs lifted away from your thigh so one more time from crescent lunge revolved crescent lunge all right you guys that was revolved crescent lunge pose with the proper form and technique it's a very body activating posture and again just great for finding that length and mobility through your spine so thanks for visiting yoga strong i'm kendall and i can't wait to practice with you next time [Music] you
