Waterfall Pose / Legs Up The Wall | Yin Yoga
This yoga pose is great for beginners and yogis of all levels. Often practiced in yin yoga and restorative yoga, waterfall pose is a beautiful inversion that comes with many benefits. It helps you relax and reduce stress, improves circulation, and can help relieve low back pain. I love to practice waterfall pose before bed in a yin or restorative yoga practice! I recommend holding the pose for 1-5 minutes.
welcome back to Mike's yoga Channel today we will be going over waterfall pose otherwise known as legs up the wall so how we get into this pose is we will be using a block if you don't have a block that's totally fine you can literally go straight up towards a wall and bring your legs straight up the wall but if you do have a block what we want to do is place it right underneath our tailbone right underneath our sacrum and from here just bring the leg straight up Towards the Sky keeping the feet flexed so this pose comes with many benefits it's a beauti beautiful inversion so we're letting the blood flow in the opposite direction so as we come out of this pose we're supplying the legs with fresh blood fresh oxygen this pose also helps reduce stress helps you relax and this pose is commonly practiced in yin yoga and restorative yoga
